Years: 5–9

Information and activities in this education kit complemented the National Museum of Australia's exhibition Yiwarra Kuju: The Canning Stock Route. The exhibition featured stories and stunning artworks from senior and emerging Aboriginal artists and traditional custodians who returned to their Country in Australia’s Western Desert. The kit includes:

  • An introduction aimed principally at teachers, which may also be useful for older students.
  • A map to locate the stock route and local Aboriginal communities.
  • Enquiry activities about key aspects of the exhibition.
  • Artist sheets — a set of 10 artworks from the exhibition.
