Fishhook matau

Composite fish-hook made of wood, with a bone point that is lightly curved, and which has several notches on the outer side. The bone point is lashed with a cord made of plant fibres. The shank is similarly lashed at the upper end, from which extends a twisted cord. Markus Schindlbeck
