Humphrey No. 298: ‘Another similar [War Club] with a ridge near the Square end, from ditto [Friendly Isles].’ or Forster Register A.4: ‘4 four-edged [clubs] from the friendly islands’

The club is made of brown wood with a handle that is round in cross-section. Towards the upper end, it increases slightly in size and becomes rhomboid. The upper end is separated from the handle by a bulged ring. The club lacks any ornamentation. The end of the handle is pointed. Inken Köhler, Ulrike Rehr, Gundolf Krüger
