This gorget is another of the five on which the figure of an Aboriginal man is engraved. The man wears knee breeches and carries a boomerang and spear. The plate is very aged and has been scratched, pitted and dented.
Its shape is very like that of a military gorget and the style of lettering and design suggests that it was made in the mid-19th century. Nice features of the manufacture of this gorget are the handmade S-hooks linking the machine-made chain to the plate.
