Top tourism destination in Canberra

Lonely Planet gives Museum top spot

The National Museum has been rated the top tourism destination in Canberra by Lonely Planet. A new Lonely Planet book, The Ultimate Australia Travel List, ranks the country’s top 500 unmissable experiences.

The Museum was ranked first in Canberra and came in at 48 on the national list. The other top destinations in Canberra were Namadgi National Park (65), the Australian War Memorial (68), National Arboretum (71) and National Botanic Gardens (81).
