Like a titu [bird] travelling around ...

Jawarta grew up around the Percival Lakes and Well 33.

He became a man at Jigalong, travelling afterwards to Wiluna, Lajamanu and Papunya. He stopped for a time at Anna Plains station, then moved to Bidyadanga in the 1960s.

Jawarta has travelled extensively throughout his life as a maparn (healer), law man and artist. He is married to Miyapu Mary Meribida.
