Sculpting the Soul is an exhibition of three stunning sculptures from the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC). Integrating Chinese and Western styles, these works from three master sculptors resonate with the artists’ feelings for the natural world.

Cultural exchange
This exhibition is part of a longstanding cultural exchange program between the National Museum of Australia and the National Art Museum of China. Since 2010 the two institutions have hosted exchange exhibitions to further mutual understanding of the art and culture of the two countries.
A reciprocal exhibition – Red Heart of Australia – of eight paintings created by Aboriginal artists was on show in Beijing from 31 July to 2 December 2021.
