Performers
Sara Martini is a celebrated Middle Eastern and North African Canberra-based dancer and teacher across Australia, including at the Adelaide and Perth Fringe Festivals, SpringOut and Canberra’s Multicultural Festival. Sara blends belly dance, or raks sharqi, with fan and silk dancing, captivating audiences with her skill, magic and flair.
Anthony Tadros formed a love for ancient Eastern music early in life and began playing oud at the age of 12. Born and raised in Canberra to Egyptian parents, today Anthony leads the choir at his local Coptic Orthodox Church and continues to play the oud as a hobby. His repertoire includes traditional Coptic hymns that embody the essence of ancient Egyptian music, some of which date back to the era of the pharaohs.
