The Museum has been acquiring cartoons for the past 20 years and now has a rich visual archive of recent Australian political history. The items in Behind the Lines: The Year’s Best Cartoons 2006 represent the best of our 2006 acquisitions from cartoonists around Australia.
Behind the Lines 2006 was originally on show at the National Museum of Australia from December 2006 to March 2007. The exhibition also toured nationally.
