A Different Time: The Expedition Photographs of Herbert Basedow 1903–1928 is a snapshot of frontier life in Australia in the early 20th century.
A Different Time draws on the National Museum's rich collection of photographs of expeditions in central and northern Australia, captured by anthropologist, geologist and explorer Herbert Basedow. The exhibition was on show at the National Museum of Australia from 11 July to 12 October 2008.
This exhibition includes names and images of deceased people that may cause sadness or distress to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
