One response to “Juanita’s photos”

  1. Hi Juanita
My name was kathleen foley when I was in Nudgee orphanage. I don’t know if you remember me. Even if you saw me you wouldn’t recognise me or I you for that matter. I have a couple of photos i keep coming across now and again and you are on them as well. Did you ever find your family? I often wonder how many of the children managed to find their families. I went there when I was 3yrs old and left when I was nearly 18yrs. You were there a long time after me. I was glad to escape that was the only way I thought of it then and vowed I’d never go back there. Hope to hear from you soon then. Kathy

Adele’s note: Kathleen kindly provided her email address which I have edited in order to protect her privacy. If Juanita, or anyone else would like to contact Kathleen, you are more than welcome to email me at adele.chynoweth@nma.gov.au Please be assured I will pass on the information.
