The Lake Innes Estate was purchased in
1992 by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), which runs monthly tours
of the property for the public. Advances in digital technology have made projects like digitally mapping the ruins possible. NPWS rangers can monitor even the smallest change in the structural fabric of the site, such as movement along cracks in walls or floors. It is hoped that developments in this technology will make the ruins and history of Lake Innes more accessible to people across Australia and the world through digital re‑creations of the house available on the internet.
