Calling the race

Every year at Flemington, on-course race caller Greg Miles calls the Melbourne Cup from the Broadcasters Booth in The Hill Stand. His call is also broadcast across Australia via commercial television and the radio. It is estimated that over 700 million people around the world watch or listen to the Melbourne Cup.
