The National Museum of Australia welcomes the appointment of Ms Tracey Whiting AM to the Museum’s Council.
Ms Whiting was Chair of the Art Gallery of South Australia (AGSA) from 2014 to 2020, and before that, she served as an AGSA board member and founder of AGSA’s fundraising and membership program. She previously also served on the board of the South Australian Museum.
With expertise in strategic marketing with a focus on major events and large-scale exhibitions, Ms Whiting brings experience and cultural industry knowledge to the position.
‘We're delighted to welcome Ms Whiting to the Museum’s Council,’ said National Museum Director, Dr Mathew Trinca.
‘Ms Whiting has a wealth of experience in the arts and culture sector including great expertise on the business side of the industry in fundraising and membership programs, which are both so important to the Museum,’ said Dr Trinca.
Ms Whiting is a Director at Solstice Media Ltd and Motion Publishing and the co-founder of InReview, an e-publication in support of arts criticism and journalism in South Australia.
‘On behalf of the National Museum, I warmly welcome her to the Council,’ said Dr Trinca.
