Three secondary students will question The Hon Mal Brough, Minister for Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs about the 1967 Referendum, racism, education and health in a Talkback Classroom forum at the National Museum of Australia on Thursday, 31 May.
The year 12 student panellists Brendon Kassman, Esmeralda Stephenson and Danielle Lede are from Casuarina Senior College, Darwin. To prepare for the forum the students began their research in Darwin and Oenpelli (West Arnhem Land).
Interviews with NT Indigenous parliamentarians, remote community elders, art curators and educators allowed them to explore a range of topics related to the forum theme
