The National Museum of Australia will mark 40 years since Expo 67 Montreal, Canada, which is regarded as one of Australia's most successful overseas promotions.

Rosemary Sinclair, Hostess Supervisor at the Australian pavilion in 1967, will launch the display in the National Museum's Hall at 11am, September 13, 2007.

The display features burnt orange Expo 67 uniforms, ephemera and a "sound chair" designed for the pavilion and reproduced for the Australian domestic market.

Expo 67 Montreal is on display at the National Museum of Australia until Wednesday 31 October. Entry is free.
