Australian Democrats leader Andrew Bartlett will be questioned about his views and policies on gambling, by senior students in a Talkback Classroom session this Monday at the National Museum of Australia.
The Sydney high school students will quiz the Queensland senator and spokesperson for children and youth affairs about problem gambling, state government reliance on its revenue, and the inquiry into gambling industries.
In preparation the students will attend the Come In Spinner gambling symposium at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney tomorrow.
The live Talkback Classroom interview will be recorded with a live school audience in Canberra and also be broadcast to the Powerhouse Museum where other secondary students will see the action and take part in question time.
The students to interview Senator Bartlett at the National Museum Studio are:
Amelia Marshall and Paul McKay, both from Baulkham Hills High School, and Jenny Lim, Presbyterian Ladies' College, Croydon.

Talkback Classroom gives students access to key politicians and public figures as part of the national civics curriculum. Other guests this year include Labor Party president Carmen Lawrence, Canberra Times cartoonist Geoff Pryor and Governor-General Michael Jeffrey.
This Talkback Classroom interview is being carried out concurrently with the exhibition, Gambling In Australia: thrills, spills and social ills, now on show at the Powerhouse Museum.
The Andrew Bartlett interview will be edited and broadcast on ABC Radio National's Life Matters program on Monday, 31 May from 9.15am.
