The National Museum of Australia (the Museum) is delighted to offer travel industry clients (the Clients) access to wholesale tickets for Pompeii on show at the Museum from 13 December 2024 to 4 May 2025.
Wholesale tickets are offered at a 20% reduction on the Museum’s standard retail ticket price. Each Client may make an order for pre-paid wholesale tickets by following the ‘Wholesale Guide’ emailed to Clients, and using the Client’s unique wholesale code to complete the transaction.
Wholesale tickets may be included in the Client’s own accommodation and travel packages or sold at the recommended retail prices (RRP) by the Client, in accordance with the table below.

By purchasing wholesale tickets, the Client agrees to the following Wholesale ticket terms and conditions:
Wholesale ticket purchases
- Wholesale tickets are only valid if purchased through the Museum’s ticketing platform/web store or directly from the Museum.
- All wholesale ticket prices quoted are in Australian dollars and include GST if applicable.
- Payment for wholesale tickets must be made by credit card at the time of purchase. Wholesale tickets will only be issued following full payment by the Client.
- Once the Client’s order is confirmed, wholesale tickets will not be eligible for refund, transfer or exchange, except as required by law.
- Unsold or unused wholesale tickets cannot be refunded, transferred or exchanged for other exhibitions or events at the Museum. The Client is advised to plan accordingly and order wholesale tickets to meet its individual requirements.
- Where wholesale tickets are lost, stolen, misplaced or destroyed (or in other circumstances in which a replacement ticket is required), the Museum may charge the Client an administration fee to issue a replacement ticket.
Unauthorised purchases
- The Client must maintain the confidentiality and security of the Wholesale Ticket URL and the Client’s unique wholesale code issued to the Client by the Museum.
- The Client is responsible for use of the Museum’s ticketing platform/web store and all transactions conducted using the Client’s unique wholesale code.
- The Client must notify the Museum immediately if it becomes aware of any unauthorised use of its wholesale code.
Ticket sales
- The Client must not sell wholesale wickets above the RRP.
- The Client may sell wholesale tickets to guests of the Client or as part of the Client’s own accommodation package or other guest offerings solely in connection with its business as a travel industry client of the Museum.
- The Museum will provide the Client with promotional assets (including marketing collateral, imagery and branding) which the Client may use to sell the wholesale tickets, including in association with its own accommodation package or other guest offerings.
- The Client must seek the Museum’s prior written approval to produce its own promotional assets, or alter promotional assets provided by the Museum associated with the wholesale tickets.
- The Client must seek the Museum’s prior written approval to use the wholesale tickets in giveaways, prizes, gifts or otherwise for no cost.
- The Museum reserves the right to seize or cancel wholesale tickets that are sold in contravention of these Wholesale ticket terms and conditions, in which case the ticketholder may be denied admission to the exhibition at the Museum.
Ticketing requirements
- The Client must provide ticketholders with a valid wholesale ticket printed in A4 format with a visibly displayed barcode, which ticketholders are expected to obey. Concession ticketholders must present a valid identification card as proof of eligibility on entry to the exhibition at the Museum.
- Wholesale tickets are single use only and are valid for entry on any day of the exhibition. The Museum reserves the right to change the exhibition dates, opening times and content at any time. Neither the Client nor the ticketholder will be entitled to exchange, transfer or refund the wholesale ticket.
as a result of any such changes, except as required by law. - The Client must not alter, add to or amend the wholesale tickets provided by the Museum. This includes editing the wholesale ticket to add the Client’s logos, images or any other information.
Privacy
- Any information collected by the Museum during the ticket purchase process will be treated in accordance the Museum’s Privacy policy.
- The Museum may vary these Wholesale ticket terms and conditions at any time. Any variations become effective on the day immediately after their publication and will apply to purchases of wholesale tickets made after that date.
- If any part of these Wholesale ticket terms and conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, it will be disregarded to the extent of its invalidity and the remainder of the Wholesale ticket terms and conditions will remain in full force.
- These Wholesale ticket terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory.
