About

In 2011 the National Museum of Australia will open Landmarks: People and Places across Australia (formerly known as Creating a Country), a major new permanent gallery.

Landmarks will trace a broad history of Australia since European colonisation of the continent in the late eighteenth century.

We’re using this blog to reflect on the process of developing the gallery, and as a place to share insights and thoughts about the research, content and objects that will feature in the gallery.
