   Hi: Adele,

   I would like to know, how come there are no Orginsations, Members of Parliament or any one in authority including yourself, or your superiors, that has exposed any of the barabric torture of the Forgotten Australian children that were dumped by the government, for various reasons of their own , into adult mental asylums for “adolesecent rebellion”. supposedly , and were under the care of Doctors and Psychiatrists who also abused them..

   Why is it not classified as abuse and torture equal and as ‘destructive’ abuse as those who were sexually abused?
   Why doctument sexual abuse only? Do they think that all of this other didnt happen?Why give electric shock treatment because children stood up to abusive nuns or who ever. ‘Perhaps to wipe from their memory the abuse they received.”

   Dr Bessell stated, there was no Human Rights for Forgotten Australians. How come Dr. Bessel doesnt acknowledge any of the torture those children having electric shock treatment for rebellion to nuns abuse. Surely she knew it happened and how come she does not explain that should not of taken place and was torture and crimes against children.
   How come orginsations achknowledge and expose sexual phyical and psychological abuse, but not TORTURE to the Forgotten Australians that were dumped into adult mental asylums as a form of punishment.
   Was such torture of children who were dumped into adult mental asylums mentioned in the Heiner Report or the files that were destroyed by government.

   Thanks for your message and relevant reply Christine,

   In terms of cover ups, I do know about the Heiner Affair in Queensland and in her article published on this website, Professor Freda Briggs discusses some responses by church staff to complaints of sexual abuse.

   John Murray in his article “From the Cradle to the Grave”, which can also be accessed on this website, discusses how children in institutions were used as subjects of medical testing.

   In terms of eugenics, it is interesting to note that there is evidence to suggest that, in Australia, children of the poor were seen as less worthy than those who were well off.
   Australia’s former Prime Minister, Robert Menzies, in a speech which he delivered in 1942, said, “…to say that the industrious and intelligent son of self-sacrificing and saving and forward-looking parents has the same social desserts and even material needs as the dull offspring of stupid and improvident parents is absurd.” (quoted by Joanna Penglase “Orphans of the Living” Fremantle Press: 2005, p.229)

   Hi. Adele,

   I would like to make a correction with the comments I wrote to you Adele on the 12/4/11.
   Forgotten Australians should be explained in detail how they were used for eugenics programs giving examples.
   I search the net and read a lot and read something as such some where, but I think it may of happened in Hitlers era. Also it was common knowledge people with genetic defects or mentally disabled were casterated, but I dont know if this happened to Forgotten Australians. My point is, I would like to know if it did and I believe Forgotten Australians have the right to know and would like conformation if it did if I am allowed with thanks.

   Hi. Adele,

   There are many Doctors, Psychiatrists, wardsman and government that are aware of all the abuse that happened to the Forgotten Australians, and yet say nothing for various reasons. Statistics recordings what was done to aboriginals the Stolen Generation how they were hated abused and massacred. Someone would have had to record all of that data I believe ; the same would have happened with the Forgotten Australians.
   Perhaps they have been threatened by government and church etc, or being given immunity by government, as this is exactly what happened to the Duplissis Orphans in Quebec in Cananda, but this does not take away their guilt.

   I believe many would have great conflict of conscience due to the things they did and wittnessed, perhaps some of them have written books and articles, but the authorities have put a gag on them to safe guard their positions.
   However, not all of those doctors could be so criminally void of conscience as to say nothing even unto their death.

   Question Adele please.

   Do you have any knowledge of the government hush up of these attrocotices as various Politicians have destroyed many files on this subject, and one is left to question why.
   I read in a Forgotten Australians file,….Quote “it is recommended that …… be brought to Brisbane whilst undergoing” treatment” and placed in a home where …… behavour can be carefully watched. As …… has been in a foster home, it may be better for ……. to be placed in one of the Cottage Homes as …….. would make an EXCELLENT case for the University Group to study.”…. End of quote This is certainly part and parcel of the Eugenics Program I believe Adele .

   Pre 80s F.As experienced terrible psychological psychical and sexual abuse also slave labour, no one understanding why children REACTED to such torture and abuse.The strong ones with the GOD given ability to stand up to such abuse in return was categorized as the worst behaved; resulting in being given multipal electric shock treatment causing memory loss. Dr. Bessell is correct by saying children had no human rights in that erra.

   On the 24/3/10 at the apology in Brisbane Parliament House to F.As that were dumped into adult mental asylums as a form of punishment or for what ever reasons. There were many yellow flowers desplayed on the table in rememberance of those who died in the asylum. I asked a Politician who was sitting along side of me , how many died to which she said she didnt know. Well; gov. have the stats dont they?, but once again silence.
   We have met a few psychiatric nursing sisters over the years who stated some rapes abuse and criminal events took place in asylums they worked in.

   Forgotten Australians should be explained in detail how they were used for eugenics programs, given examples, like if a male was short in stature they were casterated and those who died from fits possible side effects from electric shock treatments and over medicated experiemental psychiatric drugs.
   Aparently thousands of Forgotten Australians” went missing.” Question; was police involved and where is police data of the missing Forgotten Australians. Perhaps their was orginazed lobotomizys as the Duplissis Orphans, or the Jersey Orphans in the UK, which they have proof they were raped and murdered check out on the net.

   Forgotten Australians giving their experiences on this site is evidence such attrocoties occured, but I would like to speculate that perhaps the Government and Churches and others involved , may be just trying to find out how many people know much about it all and are making out that they really care about these people! If this were so , why not compensate these people? Maybe their purpose is to find out how much you know so as they cant be caught out.
