Yay, I can now announce the winners of Drawing the Lines 2010. But first, to all the teachers and students who have participated: awesome effort, wonderful energy, fantastic results!
And: a massive thank you to our judge for the competition, who has just been recognised as Cartoonist of the Year. Hooray for David Pope! Of course, David’s mentoring and support for student cartoonists broadens and deepens his worthiness for this honour :-)
David will be present at the launch of the Museum’s exhibition of the year’s best (non-student) political cartoons, Behind the Lines – as will our first-prize winners and some of the other prize-winning cartoonists, to receive their awards in person. I will share pictures from the event on these very pages.
Without further ado, extra special congratulations to these cartoonists…
Note that you can also see all of these cartoons in our Flickr set for the 2010 winners.
