A Virtual Concourse D’elegance for the Museum’s Royal Daimler
This Sunday, 20 October, the National Museum of Australia’s Royal Daimler will make a virtual appearance at the Centenary of Canberra Car Rally on the lawns of Old Parliament House.

The Royal Daimler has been completely disassembled by our expert conservation staff in order to bring her back to her former glory. The Museum aims to raise $60,000 by July next year in order to help with this major conservation project and make the Royal Daimler fit for a queen again.

To help us achieve this goal we are taking the Royal Daimler to the public, in virtual form. This Sunday, we will be at the Centenary of Canberra Car Rally with the National Trust, on the lawns of Old Parliament House. We will have information about the Royal Daimler’s conservation journey, some regal history about the grand old dame and lots of National Museum of Australia goodies.

To date we have raised just over $25,000. We hope that on Sunday more people learn about the Royal Daimler Project and come on board with the Museum to support the conservation of this regal part of our national history.

We will be on the concourse with the National Trust who is supporting our presence at the Centenary of Canberra Car Rally.
