Ipomoea cairica

Family

Convolvulaceae

Common name

Coastal morning glory, mile-a-minute

Species of morning glory are characterised by their trumpet- or bell-shaped flowers. The leaves of the coastal morning glory, with five to seven lobes, differentiate it from other morning glory species. Fast growing and invasive, this climbing plant likes warm temperate climates and is now often classified as a weed.
